Detailed Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 01: Delhi

Arrival at the International Airport and transfer to the Hotel in Delhi, and check in. Delhi is a city that bridges two distinct worlds. Old Delhi, once the capital of Islamic India, is a labyrinth of narrow lanes lined with crumbling havelis and formidable mosques. In contrast, the imperial city of New Delhi, created by the British Raj, is composed of spacious, tree-lined avenues and imposing government buildings. Delhi has been the seat of power for several rulers and many empires for about a millennium. Many times the city was built, destroyed and then rebuilt here. Interestingly, a number of Delhi's rulers played a dual role, first as destroyers and then as creators. Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 02: Delhi

Morning: After breakfast, sightseeing of Delhi, visit:

  • Bangla Sahib Gurudwara - Sacred Sikh shrine known for its peaceful vibe and community kitchen.
  • India Gate - An Iconic war memorial honoring Indian soldiers of World War I.
  • Lotus Temple - Bahá'í House of Worship, famed for its lotus-like architecture.
  • Qutub Minar - Tallest brick minaret, showcasing Indo-Islamic architecture and ancient inscriptions.

Evening: Light & sound show at:

  • Red Fort - Majestic Mughal fort known for its red sandstone walls and historic significance.

Day 03: Delhi - Mandawa

Morning: After breakfast, drive to Mandawa, arrive and check into the Hotel. Mandawa, is situated in Shekhawati. Shekhawati is a semi-desert in north Rajasthan. Shekhawati represents a region and not just a town or fort. It derived its name from its ruler, Rao Shekha. PM sightseeing of Mandawa, visit Havelis Like:

  • Jhunjhunwala Haveli - Ornate haveli with intricate wooden carvings and beautiful frescoed walls.
  • Bansidhar Newatia Haveli - Famous for its unique murals, including British and steam engine depictions.

  • Murmuria Haveli - Features vibrant political murals and European-inspired artistic elements.

Day 04: Mandawa – Bikaner

Morning: After breakfast, drive to Bikaner, arrive and check into the Hotel. Bikaner, The history of Bikaner dates back to 1486 when a Rathore prince, Rao Bikaji, founded his kingdom. Bikaji was one of the five sons of Rao Jodhaji, the illustrious founder of Jodhpur. PM sightseeing of Bikaner, visit:

  • Junagarh Fort - Impressive fort with ornate palaces, courtyards, and historical artifacts.
  • Lallgarh Palace - Grand red sandstone palace blending Rajput, Mughal, and European architecture.

Day 05: Bikaner – Jaisalmer

Morning: After breakfast, drive to Jaisalmer, arrive and check into the Hotel. Jaisalmer, the Golden City", is located in the heart of the Thar Desert (The Great Indian Thar Desert), and it is also a World Heritage Site. Time is free at leisure.

Evening: Overnight stay at the Hotel.

Day 06: Jaisalmer

Morning: After breakfast, sightseeing of Jaisalmer, visit:

  • Jaisalmer Fort - Massive golden sandstone fort with stunning views and vibrant bazaars.
  • Jain Temple - Exquisitely carved temples within the fort, dedicated to Jain Tirthankaras.

Day 07: Jaisalmer - Kheechan -  Khimsar

Morning: After breakfast, drive to Khimsar, on the way, visit:

  • Kheechan Natural Bird Sanctuary - A Vital refuge for migratory flamingos and diverse bird species.

Arrive at Khimsar and check into Khimsar Fort. Khimsar, perched on the edge of the Great Thar Desert in the heart of rural India, lies this unique 16th-century fort that offers exhilarating experiences. Hundreds of years of history unfold as you glance at its battle-scarred walls and stroll down its ramparts. PM explore:

  • Sand Dunes by Jeep Safari / Camel Safari - Exciting desert adventures exploring vast dunes on a jeep or camel.

Evening: Overnight stay at Khimsar Fort.

Day 08: Khimsar – Pushkar

Morning: After breakfast, drive to Pushkar, arrive and check into the hotel. Pushkar, for a devout Hindu, is a very important pilgrim centre. For one to visit this holy place in a lifetime is highly recommended. PM visits:

  • Brahma Temple - One of the few temples dedicated to Lord Brahma in India.
  • Pushkar Lake - Sacred lake surrounded by ghats, central to Pushkar’s spiritual life.

Day 09: Pushkar – Jaipur

Morning: After breakfast, drive to Jaipur, arrive and check into the Hotel. Jaipur, a bustling capital city and a business centre with all the trappings of a modern metropolis but yet flavored strongly with an age-old charm that never fails to surprise a traveler. Jaipur is named after its founder, the warrior and astronomer sovereign, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh (ruled 1700 to 1743). The decision to move out of his hilltop capital, Amer, was also compelled by reasons of growing population and paucity of water. After several centuries of invasions, the north was now quiet and the wealth of the kingdom had considerably increased. Time is free at leisure.

Day 10: Jaipur

Morning: After breakfast, sightseeing of Jaipur, visit:

  • Amer Fort - Majestic hilltop fort blending Rajput and Mughal architecture.

Day 11: Jaipur – Bhandrej

Morning: After breakfast, drive to Bhandrej, arrive and check into the Palace. Bhandrej, The Bhadrawati Palace: A Heritage Property with a fascinating History. Tracing back to the 11th Century, when the Kachawa Chieftain Dhula Rao Saheb defeated the Badgujars and conquered Bhandarej. PM:

Day 12: Bhandrej – Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary

Morning: After breakfast, take a relax or walk and see the Palace. Drive to Bharatpur, arrival and check-in to the Hotel. Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary, as the monsoon arrives, birds from every part of the country start flying into the Park. Migratory waterfowl – even though the Siberian Cranes, once the pride of Keoladeo, have not been coming for the past few years – are a major attraction. PM visit:

  • Bird Sanctuary by Cycle Rickshaw - Eco-friendly ride offering close-up views of vibrant birdlife.

Day 13: Bharatpur - Fatehpur Sikri – Agra

Morning: After breakfast, visit the Bird Sanctuary or drive to Agra, on the way visit Fatehpur Sikri, founded in 1569 by Mughal emperor Akbar as his new capital, and it was the first planned Mughal city. Continue driving to Agra. Arrival and check-in at the Hotel. Later on, sightseeing in Agra, visit:

  • Taj Mahal - World-famous white marble mausoleum symbolizing eternal love.
  • Agra Fort - Massive red sandstone fortress with rich Mughal history and architecture.

Day 14: Agra – Delhi

Morning: After breakfast, drive to Delhi. Arrive and check in to the Hotel. PM:

Evening: Overnight stay at the hotel or drop off at the airport to board a flight for an onward destination.

Day 15: Delhi – Departure

Best Time to Visit

The best time to visit Rajasthan is in the spring (February to April) and fall (September to November) since the temperatures during these months remain cool between the range of 20-24 degrees and provide a favorable weather for sightseeing.
