2.     Agra Fort

Built by the Mughal emperors between 1565 and 1573, this fort has been the residence of the emperors of the Mughal dynasty until 1638. It is about 2.5 Kilometres North West of the Taj Mahal. Between November and February, visiting Agra Fort becomes a pleasant experience. The exquisite structures inside the fort including the pearl mosque, Diwan-I-Aam, Diwan-I-Khas, Jahingiri Mahal, and Moti Masjid are great attractions for any visitor. A ticket to Agra Fort costs Rs. 40 for an Indian Visitor and Rs. 550 for a foreigner visitor.


3.     Sikandra Fort

The tomb of the great Mughal emperor Akbar built by his son Jahangir is another intricate beauty that people go to visit while on a road trip to Agra. This beautiful fort made of red-colored sandstone is an excellent blend of Hindu and Muslim architecture. It is surrounded by a beautiful garden where tourists often click beautiful photographs to commemorate the visit. There are lovely fountains as well to add to the majestic beauty of this palace. The visiting hours are between 8 AM and 6 PM. It is 13 Kilometres away from Agra fort. So, it is easy to plan a visit to this place whenever you are visiting Agra fort.


4.     Itmad-ud-Daula

The tomb of Itmad-ud-Daula, also known as the ‘jewel box’ is a famous Mughal mausoleum in Agra. Some people call it the ‘baccha Taj’ or ‘Baby Taj’. Many consider this mausoleum to be the draft of the Taj Mahal. Built-in the 17th century, this mausoleum is open for tourists from 8 AM to 12 AM. This entire place can be visited in 2 hours. For Indian, the entry fee is Rs. 10 but children below 15 years can visit for free. For visitors from a foreign country, the entry fee is Rs. 110.
