Day 01 : Arrival at New Delhi Airport and Check in at the hotel. Half Day Sightseeing at New Delhi includes Humyun’s Tomb In the evening visit Akshardham By 9pm . Night Stay in Delhi
Day 02 : Morning Pickup After Breakfast and Proceed For Delhi Sightseeing Visit Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, Red Fort, Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk, Rajghat. Evening Free For shopping at Karol Bagh. Night Delhi Hotel
Day 03 : Today in the morning visit to Qutub Minar, India Gate, Lotus Temple, Rail Museum, National Doll Museum, Metro Museum. In the evening proceed to Airport for return journey from Delhi to Mumbai by Air/ Railway
Detailed Delhi Tour Itinerary Plan:
Day 01 of Delhi sightseeing tour
On the first day of the 3 day Delhi sightseeing tour, we will pick you at your railway station or the airport. After checking in , our guests will go to the following destinations:
- Humayun Tomb – Built in the 16th-century, this building houses the grave of Humayun, and was built by Akbar. Humayun Tomb is a very pretty monument and is an important part of Delhi’s tourist circuit.
- Akshardham Temple –After finishing Humayun Tomb, we will go to Akshardham Temple. Millions of Hindus visit this temple which is known for its beautiful Hindu architecture. Please note that it would take at least two hours to explore the temple.
After visiting these two beautiful monuments, we will return to our hotel for a night stay in Delhi.
Day 02 of Delhi sightseeing trip
The next day after having breakfast, we will visit several monuments in Delhi. The first destination will be a Sikh gurudwara.
- Bangla Sahib Gurudwara – This gurudwara is situated near Rajiv Chowk and has a very interesting history. According to historians, Bangla Sahib Gurudwara was earlier a palace, owned by Raja Jai Singh of Amber. While inside Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, you can listen to the granthis pray to God and also enjoy the lovely scenery around.
- Red Fort- Our 3 day Delhi sightseeing tour will be incomplete without visiting Red Fort Delhi. Though not as huge as the other forts of India, Red Fort is an impressive building with rich history. Exploring Red Fort Delhi will take no more than 2 hours.
- Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk – Just a mile from Red Fort, Jama Masjid is another Mughal monument that you must visit. Jama Masjid is the biggest mosque in India and draws huge crowds every day.
From Jama Masjid, we will all go to Chandni Chowk and shop some trivia. Please spend at least an hour exploring this Old Delhi market.
While Chandni Chowk has its own charm, we would also recommend for a visit to the Karol Bagh market. Here, you can buy clothes, footwear and also sit down for a delicious meal.
Day 03 of our Delhi trip
The third day of our 3 day Delhi sightseeing tour is reserved for the New Delhi area. In this leg, our destinations have a distinct imprint of the British Raj, so buckle up.
- India Gate – Perhaps the most iconic Delhi monument, India Gate is a memorial to the thousands of British Indian soldiers who died in the First World War. After spending some time at India Gate, we will go to Rail Museum which is a few kilometres away.
- Rail Museum – Indian Railways has evolved in a big way over the years, Rail Museum captures those changes. Bring the child in you by climbing on to the various coaches and engines Rail Museum.
- Fun at Doll Museum-The National Doll Museum in Central Delhi is a great place to have fun. If you would like to relive your childhood, do visit Doll Museum.
- Metro Museum – From National Doll Museum, we will go to another museum, the Metro Museum. Located near Mandi House, Metro Museum showcases the development of Delhi Metro in the city.
- Lotus Temple- Discover peace in the Bahaii Temple. Also called as Lotus Temple, this place of worship has a lovely architecture and radiates hamony.
- Qutab Minar – Our last stop in the 3 day Delhi sightseeing tour is the Qutab Minar. Gaze at the historical monuments in Qutab Minar and click pretty photographs.
After our Delhi darshan is finished, we will go to our respective airport or railway station for the return journey.
