Embarking on a picturesque road trip from Delhi to Ladakh is an adventure. It covers nearly 1000 km. This journey usually takes 24 to 26 hours, allowing travellers to savour every moment. Make the most of this experience and witness captivating sights. It is crucial for visitors to plan ahead, considering the ever-changing weather conditions. The cost of this road trip can vary based on the vehicle and duration of stay. Renting an SUV per day ranges from INR8000, while a roundtrip can cost roughly INR40000. You can also travel in your own vehicle or through a bus. (The ticket will cost you INR1300)
When traveling, there are two primary routes to consider. For a round trip from Delhi to Ladakh, you have the opportunity to experience both routes by taking one for the outbound journey and the other for the return trip from Ladakh.
It is during the summer months of April to June when the weather is pleasant. For a road trip, September is the latest recommended month to visit, as the highways are closed due to snow and landslides for the rest of the year.
