Shekhawati, Jhunjhunu

Jhunjhunu has a district headquarters for the shekhawati region ann It is a biggest town in the region. Jhunjhunu is located 245 km from Delhi and 180 KM from Jaipur. The Kayamkhani Nawabs founded the town in the 15th century. The Rajput ruler Sardul Singh took control of the town by 1730. The town is approachable by train and road from Jaipur and Delhi. The town has decent accommodation and can be an ideal base for exploring the Shekhawati region.
