1. Manali to Leh

Best Time to Visit: May to September

Distance: Approx 473.3 KMs.

Map Route: Manali – Marhi-Rohtang-Khoksar-Keylong-Jispa-Deepak Tal-Bharatpur Tent Colony-Killing Sarai-Sarchu-Pang-Debring-Rumptse-Karu-Thiksey Monastery-Leh

Attraction: Road trips from Manali to Leh are the most convenient ones as there are literally zero bumps throughout the trip. The road from Manali to Leh is via Rohtang Pass. Rohtang Pass is believed to be shut from October to April due to heavy snowfall blocking the roads with 20 to 30ft of snow. The Government authorities clear the snow during April and thus the pass stays open after the said time. During the said trip you can witness the snow-clad glaciers and mountain peaks along with the Chandra River flowing along. You can also enjoy sled rides during this trip.

Places to Visit in Leh: Zanskar River, Pangong Lake, Thiksey Monastery, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Hemis National Park, Magnetic Hill, Tanglang La, Shanti Stupa, Markha Valley among a few beautiful and charming getaways.

2. Chandigarh to Dalhousie

Best Time to Visit: March to June and Mid September to Mid January

Distance: Approx 314.3 KMs

Attraction: The road trip from Chandigarh to Dalhousie is also a smooth one. One also gets to experience the deep gorges and cliffs along the way. As you reach Dalhousie you can experience the snow clad mountains and terrains. Attraction: The initial Journey to Kasol is a smooth one but the later part is a lil bumpy. While visiting Kasol one of them not to miss places is Parvati Village which offers a variety of activities and landscape views. Kasol has a pleasant climate all through the year making it the most visited place amongst the tourists. While visiting Kasol one can also visit the nearby places like Tosh, Rasol, Chalal, Malana, and Manikaran. Kasol lies in the lap of mother nature with numerous unexplored and undefined trails and a number of mountain ranges offering a breathtaking view. Kasol is also known for various adventurous activities. Kasol also holds a special place for trek lovers. Kasol offers a variety of yummy food to try on.
