Himachal Pradesh – An Astounding Tourist Destination

“Getting an inch of snow is like winning 10 cents in the lottery.” Once said by Bill Watterson. Everyone wants to visit a hill station once in a lifetime and perform various fun activities like trekking, skiing, rafting and paragliding as well. India is having some of the beautiful hill stations full of snow. Himachal Pradesh is one a famous hill destination in India and also known as “The land of snow”. Himachal Pradesh is having some of the beautiful places to visit in the state itself and gives a heavenly view.

Kullu is famous for great Himalayan ranges in the area and temples as well. Some of the surrounding places are Manali, Kasol, and Manikarna. Major attractions in the place are Bijli Mahadev Temple, Raghunath Temple. Kullu is situated on the banks of the river Beas. Name “Valley of Gods” is famous for Kullu. Dharamshala too attracts the hub towards the snow-clad mountain. Tea gardens and snow covered mountains can’t stop the tourists to enjoy the beauty in the place. Tibetans refugees occupy the area and showcase the beauty of the culture. Tsuglagkhang Complex, Namgyal Monastery, Kangra Fort, Naddi Village, Masrur are main sightseeing in the area. Dalhousie welcomes the tourists in the meadows and valleys. The area is across the five hills in the state. Pine, Oak, Deodar are the types of vegetation in Dalhousie. It is named after the British Governor Lord Dalhousie in the 19th century.

Shimla is famous for British colonial architecture and viewpoints. Shimla is the capital of the state and known as the summer tourist capital. Chris church, Mall road are other famous constituents of the capital. Art and temples of Chamba are also considered tourist destination. Akhand Chandi Palace and Champawati Temple are the places to visit. For the splendid views and cold desert mountain, the little Tibet Spiti is known. Lahaul and Spiti valleys are separated by Kunzum pass. It is said to be one of the most unexplored destination. A visit can’t be complete without seeing the monasteries. Kasol is known for the Israeli citizens, trekking base camp. Kasol is a paradise for adventures and nature lovers. Kinnaur the land of gods is 235km away from Shimla. It is known for the lush green beauty, rocky mountainscapes with river Satluj and Baspa. The existence of the Hindus and Buddhism culture reflects in the cuisine as well. The place is famous for the apples, chilgoza, handlooms etc. Kinner Kailash the home of Lord Shiva is situated in Kinnaur only.

The mini Switzerland of India is at Khajjiar a place near Dalhousie. This place is located at the altitude of 6,500 feet. Adventure seekers have a lot of activities to do in the area like horse riding, zorbing, trekking etc. The place can be witnessed as closed due to heavy snowfall. The heavy British influence can be seen at Mcleodganj. This place is the born place of the great Tibetian spiritual leader Dalai Lama. Most mesmerizing landscapes can be seen easily in the area. The best place to visit the area is between October and June. Sangla is the perfect gateway to witness the landscapes of the valleys, apple orchards, cherry trees etc. This place witness less crowd because of less commercialization
