7.    Ladakh

Normal people do not visit Ladakh in December, but adventure seekers such as yourself do. In December, Ladakh is completely frozen. Narkanda, a renowned hill station, is located 70 kilometres (two hours) from Shimla. During the winter, the lowest temperature is about minus ten degrees (-10°C), while the highest temperature is around fifteen degrees (15°C). This hidden treasure in Dev Bhoomi has lush green landscapes, expansive apple orchards, and deep oak and cedar woods. During the winter, the area is renowned for skiing.
