Jodhpur. The old traditional water bodies in the city hold the status of a valuable heritage. These reservoirs have served as exceptional cases of water management and water harvesting. Over time the importance of these reservoirs was forgotten. Today, whenever the water level in Kaylana-Takhtsagar is low and the water supply system of the city is in disarray, suddenly the memory of these reservoirs, the legacy of our forefathers, comes to mind. The Queen followed the tradition of building a reservoir, reaching here through a small road and narrow paths. This is Makrana Mohalla. The area is surrounded by heritage guest houses all around. The tourist who comes here definitely wants to see a Jhalra. That is Toor ji's jhalra. The ladies of the royal family had built this Jhalra, following the age-old tradition of building a public reservoir. Nowadays this Jhalra is the center of attraction among the people. Domestic foreign tourists get overwhelmed by its water system and artistry. It will be said to be a coincidence that today this reservoir is a topic of discussion among the tourists.
