The Thar heritage Museum is quite a small one as compared to the other museums in the city of Jaisalmer. As you visit this small yet very interesting museum one can see many artifacts which all from the ancient era. Items like manuscripts, coins, photographs, weapons as well as the old musical instruments have been showcased very nicely here. A puppet is also held during the evening hours for the entertainments of the guests.

About Thar Heritage Museum

  • Kuldhara Village - 49 minutes southwest of Jaisalmer is the haunted village of Kuldhara. All the houses of this village are intactbut nobody knows where its inhabitants are! 
  • Sam Sand Dunes - Jaisalmer is synonymous with sand dunes and the best place to see these natural formations is in the village of Sam.
