2. By Air: you can take a helicopter from Dehradun, Haridwar, or Rishikesh. If you go from Dehradun, you should go to the Shastradhara Helipad and the helicopter ride takes 40 minutes. If you go from Haridwar or Rishikesh, you should take a private taxi to Phata, which is about 200km from Haridwar and 195km from Rishikesh.
