Chandigarh to Dharamshala to Amritsar: A Perfect Travel Triangle
The three cities of Chandigarh, Dharamshala and Amritsar have their own peculiarities. While Chandigarh is a modern city, Amritsar is known for Durgiana Temple and Golden Temple. Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh is nestled between Himalayas and has the world's highest cricket stadium.

Day 01: Delhi to Chandigarh
On the first day, we will pick you at Delhi Airport, railway station or at your hotel and drive to Chandigarh. The drive time is 4 hours. Upon reaching the city, we will visit thye following places:
- Rock Garden - Also known as Nek Chand Garden, this park is spread over 47 acres and is the most famous landmark of Chandigarh.
- Rose Garden- Zakir Hussein Garden or Rose Garden has many beautiful flowers inside the campus. Entry to Rose Garden is free.
- Sukhna Lake - From Rose Garden, we go to the beautiful Sukhna Lake, another popular landmark of Chandigarh.
- After visiting Sukhna Lake, you can go to the Sector-17 market , do some shopping and then return to the hotel
Day 2: Chandigarh to Amritsar
The day begins with having breakfast in the hotel and then driving to Dharamshala. The drive time is 5-6 hours and after reaching the town, we refresh ourselves.
At Dharamshala, we will visit the following places:
- War Memorial
- Gyuto Monastery
- Dalai Lama Museum
- Dal Lake
In the evening, we return to the hotel for our overnight stay.
About Dharamshala
Dharamshala is the winter capital of Himachal Pradesh and also serves as the capital of the Tibetan government in exile. Until 2015, Dharamshala was a municipal council but is now a municipal corporation.
Day 3: Dharamshala sightseeing and then Amritssar
Since we aren’t still done with Dharamshala, so we will go to the following places:
- Namgyal Monastery in McLeodganj
- Tsuglakhang Monastery
- Bhagsu Falls
- Tibet Museum
By afternoon 4 p.m, we are free, so after checking out we proceed to Amritsar. The drive time is 4 hours
After reaching Amritsar, we check into the hotel and retire for the night.
Day 4: Amritsar sightseeing
Amritsar is the second largest city in Punjab and is home to Swarn Mandir or Golden Temple. Rishi Valmiki of Ramayan lived here, according to several historians.
At Amritsar, we first refresh ourselves in the hotel and then visit Jallianwala Bagh and Golden Temple.
We will also drive down to Wagah Border and watch the BSF men and women in action (Beating Retreat).
From Wagah, we return to Amritsar for an overnight stay.
Day 5: Amritsar Drop
On the last day of the Delhi Chandigarh Dharamshala Amritsar tour, we drop our guests at the Amritsar airport.
