5 Countries Who Ban Flights From India

Countries who ban flights to and from India in COVID

Several countries such as UAE, Indonesia, US, UK, and Canada & various countries have banned flights to & from India, due to COVID-19 and the "double mutant" virus being found in the country. The latest countries are Iran, Kuwait, Indonesia, and UAE that are added to this list of countries that have ban flights to India. If it is very essential to travel to India, you must get completely vaccinated before travel. From mandatory RT-PCR tests to compulsory quarantine, here is a lowdown of restrictions imposed on travelers from India to the following countries that ban flights in COVID:

1. UAE: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has banned all flights to India except cargo flights from India for citing unprecedented COVID-19 rise in the country. These regulations can be extended. However, the flights between UAE & India will continue to operate for the transportation of passengers. The diplomatic missions appointed by the countries, UAE citizens, official delegations, those having the golden residency & those on businessmen-chartered flights are exempted from the ban flights to India.

2. Indonesia: Indonesian government has decided to not issue visas to any foreigners who have been in India in the past 14 days to prevent COVID-19 transmission. Indonesia has also banned flights to and from India in COVID Indonesians entering from India will be allowed to enter the country but will have to follow stricter protocols and quarantine rules.

3. US: The US government has issued an advisory to all its citizens to avoid traveling to India amid the recent COVID-19 surge in the country. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said in its statement, due to the present situation in India, even completely vaccinated travelers may be at risk for receiving & spreading COVID-19 variants and ban flights to India. If it is necessary to travel to India, you must get completely vaccinated before travel. Each traveler must stay 6 feet from others, wear a mask, avoid crowds and wash their hands.

4. UK: The United Kingdom (UK) has added India to its COVID-19 travel "red list". It is one of the countries ban flight from India. This effectively bars every travel from the country and makes a 10-day hotel quarantine for each UK and Irish citizen traveling back from India. The Health Secretary Matt Hancock of the UK told the House of Commons that they had been identified 103 cases of the Indian COVID-19 variant in the UK, of which a huge majority had links to international travel. The Heathrow Airport of Britain has refused to permit extra flights from India in the meantime, citing concerns about queues at passport control

5. Canada: Canadian government suspended international flights from India for 30 days in April due to the unabated rise in COVID-19 cases. The Patty Hajdu- Health Minister specified that after arriving in Canada, half the people who are testing positive through flights came from India. Flights from India account for almost 20% of the air traffic of Canada. However, Cargo flights from India will continue.
