This black marble work is built on the place where the body of the illustrious politician and Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi was cremated on January 31, 1948.

If you visit on Friday, you attend an exhibition of photographs and sculptures depicting Gandhi's life.

The memorial marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated on January 31, 1948, a day after he was assassinated in New Delhi.

DESIGN 

Raj Ghat is a beautiful space designed by Alick Percy-Lancaster, last English manager to deal with horticulture department in the Indian government.
