Kilbury is placed located 12 kms from Nainital in between reserve forest, Kilbury is a dense forest with abundance of flora and fauna. It is a quiet place in the midst of dense forest and lovely birds migrate here. You will enjoy the solitude and calmness of the place with occassional chirps from the forest. this bird haven has more than 580 recorded avian species. Both migratory and endemic birds can be spotted in the region, which make it a paradise for bird-watching.

Brown Wood Owls, White-Throated Laughing Thrushes, Collared Grosbeaks and Forktails are some of the birds that can be seen in this sanctuary and its surrounding areas. The destination is thus considered a paradise for nature lovers and birdwatchers. Kilbury is a known as bird watcher’s paradise and plenty of bird species ( approx 580 ) are found here at Kilbury , Kilbury is picturesque picnic spot as well. Kilbury is located at a altitude of 2528 mtrs ASL, Kilbury is enclosed by flourishing green thick jungle of oak, pine & rhododendron , Forests of Kilbury provide sufficient opportunities to Bird watcher and makes Kilbury a perfect birding holiday destination.
