Birla Mandir Lakshmi Narayan Temple, Delhi

 Welcome to the incredible pilgrim destination of Delhi, Birla Mandir. All the buildings in the temple are beautifully carved to present Hindu mythology. However, the main temple abodes are comprised of the statues of Lord Narayan and Goddess Lakshmi.

 
Narayan Mandir is situated to the west of Connaught Place in Delhi. Constructed by Raja Baldev Das in the year 1938, it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. Also known by the name of Birla Mandir of New Delhi, this temple has quite an interesting history attached to it. Built over a period of 6 years, the temple was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi.
 
Tourists also enjoy here a shrine dedicated to Lord Buddha. Another striking feature of Lakshmi Narayan Mandir is its easy accessibility from buses, metro rail and other means of transport.It is being assumed that this temple had been inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1939. Today, the temple has grown so majestically to count among the top destinations of Delhi that is worth to be toured.
