Delhi, Jaipur, Agra, Rishikesh - all these places have their own unique culture and tradition to tell. From imperial royal buildings to pious religious trips, the weeklong trip will give you an overview of the northern part of India. It involves too much traveling however at the end of the one will be amazed by the wide diversity of this place.

Day 01: Delhi Arrival
As you reach Delhi, check inn to the hotel. Get transferred from airport or railway station. Old Delhi, which was once the capital of Islamic India, is a labyrinth of narrow lanes lined with crumbling havelis and formidable mosques. New Delhi, on the other hand is created by the British Raj with better planning and colonial buildings. Stroll around your hotel and get prepared for the trip next day. Overnight stay at Delhi hotel.

Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing
The day starts after breakfast at your hotel.
The major highlight of the tourism destinations are:-
Gurudwara Bangla Sahib: most prominent Sikh gurdwara which is associated with the eighth Sikh Guru. it is one of the most famous religious spots.
Jama Masjid: the next stop is the largest mosque of Old Delhi, Jama Masjid. It was constructed during the reign of Shah Jahan.
Chandani Chowk: roam about in this age old market on cycle rickshaw or walk through the aisles to feel the charm
Red Fort: Built by Shahjahan during 1639 to 1648, this imperial building has too many tales to tell. Enjoy the light and sound show at the evening.
Raj Ghat: The simple square platform of black marble marks the place where the father of the Nation, Mahatama Gandhi was cremated.
Humayun Tomb:  Queen Haji Begum in the 16th century built this tomb which was supposed to be the prototype of the Taj Mahal at Agra.
By this time, get your lunch done and move on to the next stop which is-
Qutab Minar: excellent example of Afghan Architecture, Qutab Minar is 72.5mts high victory tower which holds the witness of time since the time of Qutubuddin Aibak, since twelfth century. It is one of the World Heritage Sites.
India Gate: an "Arc-de-Triomphe" like archway in the middle of a crossroad, India Gate stands as the memorial for 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the British Army during the World War I.

Day 03: Delhi - Jaipur
After breakfast, its time to move out of Delhi and drive to Jaipur. Before leaving the city, see the Parliment & President House which is a circular colonnaded building. Drive down to the capital of Rajasthan. Enjoy the day as a leisure stop. Jaipur is named after its founder, the warrior and astronomer sovereign, Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh who ruled the city from 1700 to 1743. The city in itself will give the vibe of the royalty that still is the essence of the place.

Day 04: Jaipur
Spend the entire day for sightseeing. The major places will include:
Amer Fort: Constructed by Raja Man Singh I in 1592, which was later completed by Mirja Raja Jai Singh, Amer Fort is set in picturesque rugged hilly terrain. An amazing blend of Hindu and Mughal architecture, this fort is made of red sand stone and white marble. Jal Mahal Palace is placed in the heart of Man Sagar Lake which was renovated and enlarged in the 18th century by Maharaja Jai Singh II of Amber.
City Palace: Jaipur Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh's fascinating construction gives the idea of how regal the time was. The City Palace Complex holds on the legacy of some of the most imposing and magnificent architecture in the city. The museum is a must see.
Hawa Mahal: poet king Sawai Pratap Singh constructed Hawa Mahal which still remains the most well-known landmarks of Jaipur.
Jantar Mantar: it is a collection of nineteen architectural astronomical instruments which was completed in 1738 CE and today stands as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 05: Jaipur - Fatehpur Sikri - Agra
The next day will start with the drive to Agra from Jaipur.
Fatehpur Sikri: an epic construction in red sandstone, this capital city of yeasteryear was built by the Mughal Emperor Akbar during 1564 A.D.
Agra Fort: yet another great piece of architecture from Akbar, this fort will take couple of hours to see it completely.
Taj Mahal: built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, this masterpiece needs no introduction.  Took 22 years to complete the construction, Taj Mahal still proves why it holds the crown of one of the seven wonders of the world.

Overnight stay at Agra hotel.

Day 06: Agra - Haridwar
Drive to Haridwar after breakfast at the Agra hotel. Haridwar is the place where Ganges enters into the Indo-Gangetic Plains of North India and flows down to the greater plain land. In evening visit Har Ki Paudi where you can see the Ganga Aarti.
Jai Ganga Maa Har Ki Pauri is a famous ghat on the banks of the Ganges and visitors enjoy the serene atmosphere and indulge in the pious ambience of the Ganga Aarti.

Day 07: Haridwar - Rishikesh - Delhi
After breakfast drive to Rishikesh.
An iron suspension bridge situated in Muni Ki Reti in Tehri Garhwal district is one of the finest things to see here. This famous hanging bridge across Ganga is about 3km away from the main city.Triveni Ghat is the biggest and most famous ghat in Rishikesh where you can spend hours.

Drive down to Delhi at the end of the day and get transferred to airport or railway station as required.
